Activate your connection
You've completed all the configuration steps. It's time to go live!
Before You Activate
Make sure you have completed all previous steps:
β οΈ Important: Once activated, your connection will trigger real phone calls when alerts are received. Please ensure that your contacts are informed that they may receive automated calls from CallOnAlarm, even if they have already completed the verification procedure during which this information was communicated to them.
Activate the Connection
Go to Connections and click Manage on your connection.
At the top of the page, find the Alert Calling Procedure section.
Toggle the switch from Inactive to Active.

Inactive
Events are logged but NO phone calls or technical emails are sent
Active
Events trigger phone calls and technical emails according to your delay rule
β οΈ First Call Test β Important!
We strongly recommend triggering a test alert immediately after activating your connection.
This allows you to:
Identify the caller number β The number that calls you may vary depending on your geographic region (continent, country, etc.)
Save it to your contacts β Add the number to your Favorites or trusted contacts
Prevent blocking β This ensures the call won't be blocked by anti-spam apps, call filters, or your phone's built-in protection
Share this number with all contacts registered for your connection so they can add it to their trusted contacts as well.
What Happens Now?
Alert received β Your alarm panel or API sends an event to CallOnAlarm.
Delay rule applied β The system processes the event according to your configuration.
Contacts called β Phone calls are initiated sequentially until someone acknowledges.
Technical emails sent β If configured, emails are sent to your technical contact.
Everything logged β All events and call attempts are recorded in your dashboard.
Monitor Your Connection
After activation, keep an eye on your dashboard:
Overview β Check the "Calls (30 Days)" counter
Events β Review incoming alerts and call logs
Credits β Monitor your credit balance
Tip: You'll receive email notifications when your credits are running low.
Need to Deactivate?
You can deactivate your connection at any time by toggling the switch back to Inactive. Events will continue to be logged, but no phone calls or emails will be triggered.
This is useful for:
Scheduled maintenance periods
Temporarily disabling alerts during renovations
Testing configuration changes
