Batch Operations

Apply changes to multiple connections at once, saving time when managing your alarm monitoring system.

Overview

Batch Operations allow you to configure multiple connections simultaneously instead of editing them one by one. This is particularly useful when you need to:

  • Apply the same delay rule to all your connections

  • Update technical contact email across multiple sites

  • Enable or disable periodic tests in bulk

  • Activate or deactivate multiple connections at once

Getting Started

Navigate to Batch Operations in the sidebar menu to access this feature.

Execution & Results

During Execution

A progress modal appears showing:

  • Progress bar with percentage complete

  • Current connection being processed

  • Count of succeeded and failed operations

  • Cancel button to stop the operation (already processed connections won't be reverted)

After Completion

The results modal displays:

  • Total number of successfully updated connections

  • Total number of failed operations (if any)

  • View details link to see the list of affected connections

  • Details section shows which connections succeeded and which failed (with error messages)

Click Done to close the modal and return to the Batch Operations page.

Best Practices

  1. Use filters wisely: Narrow down your selection using filters before selecting connections to avoid accidentally modifying the wrong ones.

  2. Review before applying: Always check the summary in Step 3 to confirm the number of connections that will be affected.

  3. Start small: If you're unsure, test with a small selection first before applying to all connections.

  4. Check plan compatibility: When using Pro or Business features, verify that your selected connections have the required plan.

  5. Monitor results: After completion, review the results to ensure all connections were updated successfully.
